Extreme weather in the Lake Zone disrupts the health services people depend on at the moment they need them most. This study looked at how facilities and the communities around them in Mwanza cope during such events, and what allows them to recover afterwards.
UPC carried out the fieldwork alongside the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Tanzania's medical research institute, gathering evidence from health workers, facility managers and residents. The findings feed into how climate resilience is planned for in health service delivery.
